Senior Acoustic Consultant

This is one of the UK's leading consultancies with expertise in building, environment and entertainment acoustics and vibration. They are expanding their team of acousticians in the South East and are looking for enthusiastic acousticians preferably with skills in environmental or building design acoustics.

You would lead a growing team of committed and enthusiastic consultants, and become part of a large and expanding broad based engineering and environmental consultancy with offices throughout the UK.

Their work covers the full range of acoustics, noise and vibration fields including building acoustics, environmental impact assessment, transportation projects, sound system design and commissioning and entertainment & concert sound. Amongst the projects that they are working on currently are the National Stadium Wembley, the 2012 Olympics in East London, Glastonbury Festival and many other concerts nationwide, and major redevelopment of schools in London, the North West and Scotland.

Requirements,
Qualified to degree level or equivalent in acoustics or acoustics related discipline (e.g. physics. maths, environmental sciences or environmental health)·
Post graduate experience in environmental and/or building acoustics.·
Previous experience as Project Manager, to include budgeting, submitting
proposals to clients, programming and report writing. ·
The ability to use and instruct others in the use of sound and vibration meters.
The ability to nurture and develop the technical capabilities of a team through affective management. ·

Successful candidates will have senior level experience gained in an acoustics consultancy and a proven track record in effective project and financial management.
Full driving license·
Good IT and organisation skills are essential.
Experience of using IMMI noise mapping software is an advantage.
