Position: Site Agent Highways - Drainage
Location: Essex
Salary: up to £48K + Car + Medical package

Our client; one of the UK's largest main contractors has won a major motorway widening contract in the South East. We are actively seeking applications from suitably experienced Site Agents who have worked on large scale and large value UK Highway Construction and or Re-construction projects. This project has a value in excess of £1Bn and so large project experience is essential.

As an experienced Site Agent you will be responsible for the Drainage and Ducting section of works. Reporting to the Project Manager You will be expected to take full responsibility for the delivery of this section managing Sub Agents and Site Engineers and liaising with Works Managers, Foremen and the QS department to deal with Contractual issues, valuations and variations and budget forecasts.

There will also be an element of external responsibilities dealing with Design management, Local Authorities, Sub Contractors and the clients' rep so confidence and experience in working in a client facing capacity is key.

Essential key skills and qualifications:
Degree level qualification in a Civil Engineering allied subject or HND in Civil Engineering and vocational training in Engineering
Knowledge and Understanding of construction contract law and forms of contract through experience and formal training.
Extensive technical knowledge of construction techniques and best Practices.
Relevant CSCS Card • Training in Health & Safety and Environmental management
Desirable skills and qualifications:
•Degree in Civil Engineering
•MICE
•Computer competence (Sypol COSHH database, SSPS Intranet database)
•Vocational Training (successful experience at Sub Agent level)
