Job Title: Agent (Temporary Bridges)
Location: London
Type: Permanent
Pay rate: Up to 48K pa plus package.
Our client is one of the UK's largest main contractors working on multiple £100M + civil projects. They now require an Agent on Temporary Bridges with major civil project experience to work on the redevelopment of a major rail station; one of the most significant project currently being undertaken in Central London.
Main Duties
As an Agent you will be working very closely with the Project Director to effectively manage and monitor costs of the project you are based on, together with the management of both Section Agents and your team and sub-contractor programmes, control and monitoring of safety in line with the method statements and risk assessments and company standards and assisting with the compliance including Quality Systems.
Requirements
The successful candidate will bring to the role;
•Significant number of years experience within the rail environment delivering high end rail/civil projects.
•Be able to effectively manage all facets of a large project such as commercial, quality, and construction systems while adhering to the strict network rail guidelines.
•Excellent understanding of UK civil construction Practices and management systems including network rail operating systems and requirements.
•Previous demonstrated experience in understanding contractual and commercial aspects of large rail/civil contracts.
• A practical minded hands-on approach coupled with excellent communication and people skills
•A solutions-orientated attitude with proven leadership qualities.
•A technical qualification to HNC/HND or GNVQ level in Civil Engineering
