Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor
East London
Salary: £up to 50K + excellent package including car and benefits DOE

One of our leading clients - a multi £B T/O Blue Chip Major UK Contractor requires Quantity Surveyors and Senior Quantity Surveyors for a world renowned major civil and infrastructure project based in East London. Project duration is 5 years +
The project itself encompasses a range of Heavy Civils, Piling, and Reinforced Concrete, Station Refurbishments and upgrades, Rail Platforms, Roads and Bridges and much more.
The ideal candidates will have a broad and divers range of project experience centred around the major / heavy civil sectors.

Role and responsibilities

Management of sub contract accounts including interrogation, procurement, payments, variations and final accounts
Identifying, raising & pricing of early warnings in line with the change control process
Monthly cost value reconciliations reports
Cash flow - monitoring & reforecast, forecasting & predictability of final costs and weekly forecasting
Interaction with client
Manage and advise junior staff accordingly
Advise and assist the site team to manage costs

The ideal candidate will have

•Worked as a client representative on major high value civil infrastructure projects and comfortable reporting to stake holders and or board members
•
MSc/BSc or HND in Quantity Surveying or other equivalent construction related subject
Preferably qualified to ICES or RICS accreditation
•
LUL / Network Rail experience would be desirable

•A comprehensive level of commercial experience preferably with a contracting organisation
Should be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of monthly reporting and earned value analysis

•Must also be experienced in commercial site management including the monthly measurement and control cycle, certificates and accruals calculations

•Have excellent communication, numeric and computer literacy skills

•Good problem solving skills and creative flair

•Relevant CSCS card
