This well-established Building Services consultancy based in St Albans is looking
to supplement their design team with by appointing an additional Intermediate HVAC Design Engineer.

Working in a spacious, modern and air-conditioned office you will enjoy working with a team of friendly and ambitious engineers and get involved in projects in the UK and continental Europe from concept to handover.

Role will involve:

-Heat gain and loss calculations according to CIBSE methods using IES software
-Part L Compliance checking using SBEM and IES software
-Detail development of concept designs to include equipment selection, pipe sizing, duct sizing, etc
-Liaison with architects, clients, structural engineers and contractors
-Attendance of meetings
-Site inspections & Public health design

Their order book is full with Leisure, Commercial, Housing, Retail and Local Auth sectors and they are expecting to have a record year in 2008 - 2009 due to their strategic project portfolio and amount of confirmed repeat business.

Individuals should be Degree qualified, have a minimum 5 years experience in Building Services and be familiar with Part L and IES. Previous experience in a Building Physics / Modelling team is essential.
