Senior/Lead Planning Engineers required to schedule high profile projects for prestigious contracting company in Saudi Arabia.
Established for over 3 decades the company is one of the premier firms in the region with offices spread across the Kingdom and a reputation for excellence in civil and building construction. They are part of a larger group with huge success across The Middle East and are currently expanding on their already strong portfolio of heavy construction, civil works and operation/maintenance relating to those works.
You will be working in the Project Planning team and be responsible for supervising and monitoring scheduled outputs as per contract details. This will include supervising the production of shop drawings, evaluating tenders, reports, IFC drawings and designs in addition to evaluating and editing standard specifications relating to means and methods of construction. Ideally you will have at least 5 years experience in Hi-Rise building construction.
To be successful you will possess excellent communication, interpersonal, management, planning and organising skills and be confident in your analysis and problem solving ability. You will also have professional knowledge in project management, building codes/standards, contract forms like FIDIC and knowledge in RFIs, construction methods and procedures. Confidence in site meetings is essential as is the ability to oversee the design of different structural elements, producing, checking and reviewing the design of detailed shop drawings, specifications, material description and software used prior to construction.
The successful candidate must have a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering, a minimum of 12 years experience in construction and preferably a Project Management Professional Certification. The purpose of this role is to communicate with project staff to successfully identify technical problems and facilitate solutions in a timely and professional manner. This will include evaluating and approving requirements, developing systems and procedures related to the practice of structural activities, controlling all related documents including submittals and transmittals and managing staff performance.
