Assistant Manager, Residential multi-storey, Build & Fit out to work on M&E packages. Substantial multi-million £ scheme. Successful and established Contractor has a requirement on a large multi-storey Residential scheme. The project is structurally complete with much of the external cladding in place.

The Post is for an energetic and enthusiastic person to assist the experienced M&E Manager. Whilst formal M&E qualifications would be an advantage, as would some expertise in overseeing M&E sub contractors, your desire to succeed is essential.

The Project is a multi-storey residential scheme. The scheme is typical of the current work carried out by this well regarded Contractor and their projects are generally located throughout London within the M25. They are generally RC frame multi-storey schemes, ranging from 4 to 25 floors and up to 500 units.

Working as a Principal Contractor or as the Contractor of choice for the Developer the company is currently working on a number of multi million £ projects with further work coming on stream throughout 2009/2010.

The Position will be site based and there are good public transport links to the site.

You would ideally have an M&E understanding as well as Design & Build exposure, with the ability to work with the sub contractors to maximise their input as well as utilising their knowledge in the Build and Fit out areas.

Wages. £85 daily, working from 0800 to 1800. Long term potential with bonuses.

Background. Ideally coming from a strong Residential Building M&E background working for one of the Contractors who specialise in multi-storey Residential schemes you will be used to working on substantial developments, especially high level D&B projects. Extensive Qualifications are not essential as ability is preferred; rather long employment periods with main Contractors / Developers will be advantageous.
