Job Description
Senior Project Engineer: Due to recent Olympic and Railway contracts secured, my client is looking for a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer with a background in the design of civil structures and bridges. The Senior Civil/Structural Engineer will be involved in the design of permanent civil structures such, and will asked to lead/mentor junior engineers.
The Senior Civil/Structural Engineer will be responsible for leading design projects, both technically and commercially.
The right candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills and be proficient at developing client relationships. It is envisaged that this person will be chartered, will be very strong technically and will have experience of leading graduate engineers/technicians.
It is essential that you can take the technical lead in developing and delivering designs of civil structures. Ideally, the right candidate will also be able to demonstrate knowledge of construction methods and developing cost effective designs.
You should have a proven track record of leading high performing teams in the delivery & commercial performance of major projects from bid stage to project close out.
Ideally you will be degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (other discipline degrees if appropriate) together with a professional qualification (CEng or IEng) and membership of a professional institution.
