Qualified Mechanical Engineer required to work on large-scale projects for prestigious contracting company in Saudi Arabia.

The company are part of a larger group with huge success across The Middle East and are currently expanding on their already strong portfolio of heavy construction, civil works and operation/maintenance relating to those works. Established for over 3 decades they are one of the premier firms in the region with offices spread across the Kingdom and a reputation for excellence in civil and building construction.

You will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical activities in the engineering department including supervising and monitoring the work of junior mechanical engineers and CAD operators as well as managing the design and production of shop drawings including final review and QA/QC checks. You will use your strong knowledge in AutoCAD to carry out mechanical design evaluations, VE and shop drawings.

Professional knowledge is required in reading engineering design plans of both thermodynamics and mechanical systems. You will use your systematic thinking and analytical skills to make good decisions and solve problems relating to overall coordination among disciplines to achieve the outputs defined in the engineering processes. Excellent coordination, organisation, monitoring and planning skills are required along with strong preparation of reports and ability to perform risk analysis and follow-up accordingly.

To be successful you must have a B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years experience and proven track record in assisting the site team with various technical issues. The focus of this role is to be accurate, efficient, dependable and focused on providing logical solutions to technical problems.
