Scope of works
My client is one of the UK's leading civil engineering contractors, operating throughout most of England. They work for a wide client base of both public sector bodies and private companies, carrying out a variety of works including major highways, bridges, infrastructure and environmental schemes.

They are looking for a Highways Section Engineer to help manage a major section of the roads and structures works providing a consistent and quality service to the client. They are requiring someone who can deliver their section to time and budget in line with the client's specifications and someone who can work independently. The successful candidate will be reporting directly to a Sub-Agent and overseeing 15-30 individuals including sub-contract labour.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Writing and implication of Health and Safety procedures
Writing and monitoring work programmes.
Managing on-site works
Liaising with the client and senior management
Managing contractors and sub-contractors on site
Overseeing and managing site engineers

Candidate requirements
Previous experience in a similar role including Major Highways Projects
Strong leadership and management skills
A commitment to quality and delivering a high standard of work

Remuneration
£32k- £36k + package including vehicle, annual leave (26 Days) and phone.
