Established and reputable civil engineering organisation with divisions in roads, water, nuclear and coastal projects for both the public and private sectors with values of up to approximately £75 million.
The Water division provides an integrated engineering and construction capability for projects in the water industry. This capability includes the process expertise and civil engineering to undertake projects ranging from minor revamps to the delivery of complete new facilities and upgrading programmes.

Job Description
Based within the Water Process and Engineering division as a Commissioning Manager.

The Commissioning Manager is a mobile position, based at the divisional office near Manchester. The role requires visits to sites in England, Scotland, Wales and Southern Ireland.

The purpose of the role is to ensure that suitably trained, competent and experienced Commissioning Engineers are in place to deal with the requirements of the water business 3 year Business Strategy and business strategies for the future.

The Commissioning Manager will report to the Head of Construction and provide an important link between the Site Construction Manager and the Site Commissioning Engineer. He/she will be responsible for ensuring that Commissioning activities are carried out in accordance with individual customer requirements.

Person Specification

Experience of working as for a contractor in a Water / Process environment.
Must have a Mechanical / Electrical background with relevant qualification
Experience of managing projects and people
Able to travel throughout England, Ireland Scotland and Wales.
