DEPUTY RESIDENT ENGINEER

The Deputy Resident Engineer reports to the Resident Engineer and the
responsibilities of the Deputy Resident Engineer will be to assist the
Resident Engineer on a day-to-day basis with his duties and
responsibilities, but in particular having the overall responsibility
for the supervision of at least one Onshore Works contract package.

He will be responsible among other things to:
* Maintain detailed liaison with the contractor, conduct regular
and unscheduled technical meetings and meetings concerning day work
programs and achievements of the foregoing day,
* Ensure that internal interfaces among the disciplines are
identified and handled,
* Identify and define internal interfaces among the disciplines,
* Follow-up on the implementation of the quality plan and HSandE
plans.
The authority of the Deputy Resident Engineer will, in the absence of
the Resident Engineer, or as from time to time as delegated by the
Resident Engineer, be to:
* Perform all necessary corrective actions to keep the project's
quality, time schedule and economy, if any deviations are demonstrated,
* Demand replacement of any supervision staff, if such person does
not perform as required,

He will have had considerable on site experience in the construction of
multi disciplinary projects and specifically of reinforced concrete
and/or steel structures involving interfacing and coordination between a
number of Contractors and disciplines.
