Job Description

Civil Engineers required to work on large scale projects for a leading consultancy in Saudi Arabia.

Established for over 3 decades the company is one of the premier firms in the region with offices spread across the Kingdom and a reputation for excellence in civil and building construction. They are part of a larger group with huge success across The Middle East and are currently expanding on their already strong portfolio of heavy construction, civil works and operation/maintenance relating to those works.

There are multiple roles available within 2 titles, Design Engineer and Civil Engineer who will be working together with the support of a team who pride themselves on customer satisfaction and quality of work. In the Design role, you will be producing detailed designs and documentation for the construction and implementation of projects. Whereas the Civil Engineers work will be focused on turning the designer's plans into reality by actually building them.

To be successful you must have a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering with relevant experience. Both roles require a minimum of 5 years experience in civil engineering within a design consulting firm or with a construction company preferably in high rise building construction. You will have professional knowledge in AutoCAD, excellent ability in reading engineering design plans, strong communication skills and be a systematic thinker. With excellent decision making, problem solving and monitoring skills you will plan, organise and develop the necessary engineering designs as per the client's requirements and specifications.

You will be working on site supervising shop drawings and problem solving, arranging geological and geophysical investigations and carrying out feasibility studies. You will need excellent analytical skills and strong technical knowledge of design, materials, calculations and codes and regulations. You will be confident in dealing with Architects, Designers, Consultants and local authorities and have strong leadership qualities to manage assistants and CAD staff.

In the Design role you will be required to prepare engineering calculations required for the design of projects and supervise the drafting. You will also be analysing risks associated with natural disasters including wind, earthquake, fire and floods, and design structures and services to meet appropriate standards. In the Civil Engineering role you will be required to prepare periodic activity reports for submission to the Section Head and take part in meetings.
