Senior Planning Engineer

•47.5 Hrs per week

JOB DESCRIPTION

•Production of tender and contract programme
•Production of planning file, notes and worksheets
•Production of quality phasing drawings/flowcharts/time slices/mass-haul diagrams
•Identifies temporary works and traffic management requirements
•Putting forward VE alternatives
•Produces programmes showing key constraints/key off-site procurement & design/key resources levelled & linked/float analysis/time risk allowances & is of optimistic & realistic overall durations
•Liaises with internal and external colleagues
•Production of change programme and revised contract programme
•Management of as built records and measure productivity
•Production of planning reports
•Measurement of planning standards
•Identifies opportunities and risks
•Understands construction techniques & developments
• Working knowledge of ECC/ICE Forms of Contract, SHW, SHW Method of measurements & CESMM.
•Software used - Asta PowerPoint / Team Plan

Person Description

•Educated to HND Civil Engineering of Degree Standard
•Years Civil Engineering experience with a Main Contractor working on Roads/ Highways
•Senior Planner – 10 years total experience (Minimum of 5 years planning)
•Strong Civils background with good experience in major highways (new build and reconstruction).
•Proficient in Planning Software Preferably ASTA Powerproject
•Early Contractor Involvement preferred
•Motorway Communications preferred
•Must have UK Driving Licence
