The Company
Our client is an incorporated company formed by shareholders to provide integrated delivery in highway services on the motorways, trunk and county roads of the UK. They are looking to recruit an Occupational Health & Safety Advisor on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities include
*Promote Health & Safety culture
*OH&S planning - including goal setting
*Advising on competence of employees and sub contractors
*Performance reviews and audit of whole OH&S management system
*Work with management on matters such as legal and technical standards
*Undertake the development and maintenance of procedures
*Benchmark monitoring review and auditing
*Creating and developing OH&S policies for existing and new aspects

The successful candidates will
*Foster effective relationships with the workforce
*Be able to present their advice effectively
*Build relationships with external client, fire, police. consultants and contractors
*Know how to interpret relevant law

Experience required
*You will be qualified to NEBOSH general certificate and have a minimum of 2 years
relevant experience in OH&S
*Belong to a recognised OH&S institute
*Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
