Senior Site Engineer - Blackpool
Coastal – Up to 35K

•Permanent

•Salary: Up to 35K

Tidal working
Typically involve a three week cycle of – early's, a week of normal and a week of late's. eg.
Week 1 Mon start 04.30 moves on half an hour each day, so start on Friday would be 06.30 with a max. 10 hour shift each day
Week 2 Mon start 08.00 moves on half an hour each day, so start on Friday would be 10.00.
Week 3 Mon start 11.30 moves on half an hour each day, so start on Friday would be 13.30. The cycle is then repeated.
Contract hours at Blackpool permit working between 04.00 and midnight.
Tidal shift working attracts a premium salary rate, which usually equates to an additional approx. 15-20% of basic salary

National Working
As a Coastal is a national business, we need engineers that are willing to work anywhere. Please advise whether candidate is willing to work on a national basis: Wales/England. There are financial incentives for long-term staff that are willing to travel and work on a national basis.

Job Description

Management
•Prepare 6-weekly/2-weekly fully resourced programmes.
•Produce comprehensive method statements for all operations carried out by subcontractors and own workforce.
•Understand and contribute to the preparation and implementation of the Project Delivery Plan.
•Proactively carry out a number of other roles, e.g. Temporary Works Co-ordinator, First Aider, Quality Auditor, Crane Co-ordinator, Design Co-ordinator, Statutory project.

Technical
•Capable of providing engineering support to site activities, e.g. value engineering, alternative designs, temporary works co-ordination, setting out, engineering staff development.
•Fully conversant with all methods of temporary works within the range of his/her abilities and will ensure these are well planned in advance.
•Liaise with Technical and external specialists to ensure the most appropriate and cost effective solution is chosen.
•Has a good understanding of contract specification, materials and alternatives.
•Engineers required with a good track record of setting out and general site duties to work on the following contracts: -
