Our client is a publicly listed specialist infrastructure company working on both public and private sector major projects in the UK and overseas. They are experts in design and construction as well as offering maintenance and facilities management services.

They are looking to recruit Sub Agents and Site Agents for a number of civil projects across the South of England including Highway construction / reconstruction and Structures.

As the Sub Agent / Site Agent you will be managing various civil projects working very closely with the Project Manager and or Contracts Manager ensuring satisfactory completion of the project taking responsibility for start to completion.
You will also take responsibility for effective cost management of the project together with the management of Section Engineers, sub-contractor programmes, control and monitoring of safety in line with the method statements and risk assessments and company standards and assisting with the compliance including Quality Systems.

The successful candidate will bring to the role;

•Significant number of years experience managing civil projects approximately £10m in value
•Be able to effectively manage all facets of a large project such as commercial, quality, and construction systems
•Excellent understanding of UK civil construction practices and management systems
•Previous demonstrated experience in understanding contractual and commercial aspects of large civil projects
•A practical minded hands-on approach coupled with excellent communication and people skills
•A solutions-orientated attitude with proven leadership qualities.
•A technical qualification to HNC/HND or GNVQ level in Civil Engineering
