Senior Estimating Engineer (Electrical) required to work on large-scale projects for a leading consultancy in Saudi Arabia.

Established for over 3 decades the company is one of the premier firms in the region with offices spread across the Kingdom and a reputation for excellence in civil and building construction. They are part of a larger group with huge success across The Middle East and are currently expanding on their already strong portfolio of heavy construction, civil works and operation/maintenance relating to those works.

You will be coordinating the activities of the estimating team, preparing tender prices and quantities from drawings and designs, detailing all materials and calculating cost estimates for projects. Using your strong communication, interpersonal, planning and organising skills you will compile and analyse data that influences cost estimates and supervise the work of estimators. You will have excellent accuracy and attention to detail with your main focus being to identify the most competitive option relating to cost whilst satisfying the client's requirements.

With your professional knowledge in cost analysis, construction methods and procedures you will be responsible for reviewing bid contract documents, studying them and highlighting any costing implications. You will use your analytical ability to determine the items where quotations must be obtained and use your honed report writing skills to prepare requests for quotations and supervise the submission of documents to suppliers and subcontractors.

The successful candidate must have a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 10 years experience including 5 years in estimation preferably with an advanced training course in cost analysis and previous experience in the region. The focus of this role is to evaluate and negotiate for the lower direct cost, prepare value engineering, alternatives and proposals to present to clients and continuously searching for more comprehensive alternatives without sacrificing quality.
