Senior Mechanical Design Engineer required to work in Saudi Arabia on various large scale projects in The Middle East for a world leading consultancy.

The company are well established with an excellent reputation internationally for delivering large scale high profile building and infrastructure projects. They are currently expanding their office in Riyadh by bringing in a Design team to support their Engineers already based on site.

Reporting to the head of Building Services and leading the Design Team, the role will include working in partnership with some of the world's leading Architects creating iconic projects in the region. You will be acting as Job Leader on various existing single and multidisciplinary projects as well as being aware of new business opportunities throughout the region.

You will use your excellent planning and communication skills to prepare proposals, manage workload of Mechanical Engineers and Technicians, prepare detail design and technical specifications, check team members work, monitor financial performance and set up administrative systems. Your confidence and strong character will enable you to communicate and negotiate with clients and operate skilfully on an independent basis as well as within a team.

Professional knowledge of mechanical specifications, financial/technical proposals and project reviews is required along with a commitment to professional development. You will ensure the objectives of the client are achieved and keep all relevant staff informed of client matters, as well as continually verifying that practices and policies both represent the client's best interests and are in keeping with British Standards and Codes of Practice.

The successful candidate must be a degree qualified Chartered or Incorporated Mechanical Engineer, with a minimum of 6 years experience and good IT skills. This is an exciting opportunity to help lead the Design office of a highly reputed international consultancy on various large-scale projects.
