Job Title: Senior Project Surveyor
Company: Our client has been established in the UK Building Market for over 30 years providing construction, refurbishment and mechanical and electrical (M&E) engineering services to both public and private sector clients. Contracts range from long-term frameworks with local authorities to 'one-off' traditionally tendered projects. These include residential improvements for social housing and internal refurbishment of commercial and retail premises.

Job description
As the Senior Project Surveyor you will be joining an already successful team working on projects in the South East. Projects will involve planned and reactive refurbishment on mainly commercial, local authority, decent and social housing works. You will be responsible for all surveying duties and overseeing a number of junior quantity surveyors.
Main Duties
•To assist the Contract Manager
•To manage the day to day cost control
•Develop an understanding of the designated contract, specification and pricing
•Liaise with the Contracts Manager over contractual issues and take action as required
•Measure progress, submit valuations, submit final accounts and retention release and monitor receipt of payment in a timely manner
•Process subcontractor requests for payment
•Completing a cost / valuation report for the designation projects
•Where appropriate, assist with estimates and negotiations for future projects or phases
•Manage the costs on a project to ensure both the company and the client is fully advised of the cost situation
REQUIREMENTS ESSENTIAL
•3 + experience at Senior Quantity Surveyor
•Minimum 5 Years Quantity Surveying
•Residential, Refurbishment Contracting experience
•Worked solidly for a main contractor
•Degree qualified

In order to be considered for this role you should have a proven track record in delivering high volumes of Decent Homes. Experience of working on fast moving programmes is also essential.
