Qualified Structural Engineer required to join the design department of a leading consultancy in Saudi Arabia.

The company are part of a larger group with huge success across The Middle East and are currently expanding on their already strong portfolio of heavy construction, civil works and operation/maintenance relating to those works. Established for over 3 decades they are one of the premier firms in the region with offices spread across the Kingdom and a reputation for excellence in civil and building construction.

Coordinating with the Civil, Procurement and Materials department, you will be responsible for developing structural engineering designs according to client requirements. You will have previous experience investigating and researching new materials, structural components and construction equipment and the ability to use this knowledge to produce detailed designs for construction and implementation. You will also be checking finished works and existing structures to ensure they are within specification and advise on any measures to improve their structural integrity.

Professional knowledge is required in AutoCAD, along with excellent understanding of construction methods, equipment and materials used in large scale and high rise building construction. You will use your systematic thinking and analytical skills to make good decisions and solve problems relating to overall coordination among disciplines to achieve the outputs defined in the engineering processes.

Excellent coordination, organisation, monitoring and planning skills are required along with strong preparation of reports and ability to perform risk analysis and follow-up accurately. You will also have knowledge of risks associated with natural disaster, including earthquake, wind, fire and flood, and have the ability to design structures to meet these standards.

To be successful you must have a B.Sc. in Structural of Civil Engineering with a minimum of 5 years experience in the role of Structural Design Engineer working on high-rise or large-scale construction. Previous experience in reading engineering design plans and knowledge of reinforced concrete and composite structures is essential.
