Our client has been established in the UK Building and Construction Market for over 30 years working on the delivery of major building and construction projects. Latterly they have been heavily involved in a number of government initiatives including PFI and PPP projects and the widely recognised Building Schools for Future programme.
We are now looking for a Project Surveyor to work in their refurbishment division

As the Project Surveyor you will be joining an already successful team working on projects in the South East. Projects will involve planned and reactive refurbishment on mainly commercial, local authority, decent and social housing works. You will be responsible for all surveying duties and overseeing a number of junior quantity surveyors.
Main Duties

•To assist the Contract Manager
•To manage the day to day cost control
•Develop an understanding of the designated contract, specification and pricing
•Liaise with the Contracts Manager over contractual issues and take action as required
•Measure progress, submit valuations, submit final accounts and retention release and monitor receipt of payment in a timely manner
•Process subcontractor requests for payment
•Completing a cost / valuation report for the designation projects
•Where appropriate, assist with estimates and negotiations for future projects or phases
•Manage the costs on a project to ensure both the company and the client is fully advised of the cost situation

REQUIREMENTS ESSENTIAL

Must have the right to work in the EU
Must be English speaking
Must be qualified to degree level
