Job Description
M25 DBFO Ecology
The role requires the applicant to work as part of the DNCS
(Department Nominated Consultant Support) team reviewing the
actions and proposals of the DBFO contractors and ensuring that
they are delivering the scheme which has been assessed within
the environmental statement, and which meets with their
contractual obligations.
The DNCS team sit within the DBFO contractor offices at Maple
Cross (North West London), which lies adjacent to one section of
the DBFO contract works. Another office will be opening at J29 of
the M25 within 3 months. The ecology specialist is able to chose
which office they would be based in (although it is assumed that
the candidate would travel between each office on a regular basis
regardless of their base).
The DBFO project is divided into three key sections, Section 1,
Section 4 and Section 6. All are widening projects although the
scale of S1 and S4 is substantially different to that of S6 which
constitutes the widening of a tunnel at Hatfield. Sections 1 and 4
are subdivided into 3 subsections: i.e. S1x, S1y, S1z and 4a, 4b
and 4c.
Advance works have begun on Sections 1x and 4a and are due to
commence shortly on 4b and 1y.
The ideal Candidate must have:
- Degree
- Chartered Status
- Full Member of IEEM or IEMA,
- Holds a current CSCS Card,
- Familiar with DMRB/ MCHW,
- Highways Experience Essential.
