Job Description

A Mechanical (HVAC) Design Engineer with extensive success in Sustainable design and IES modelling is required for this well established and award winning Building Services Consultancy in Cambridgshire.

You will get involved in conceptual and detailed low carbon designs for a multitude of new build projects spanning the Education, retail, light industrial, residential, healthcare ranging from £1 to £30 million in value.

Role will involve

·Conceptual and detailed design of HVAC systems; to include
bio mass boilers, ground source heat pumps, solar thermal, district heating and CHP
·Performing design calculations and heat and loss gains
·Taking ownership for your own designs
·Assisting Senior Engineers on complex projects
·Contributing to design meetings and suggesting “Best Practices”
·Liaising and managing contractors
·Undertaking dynamic thermal modelling and simulations, creating energy statements
·Developing new skills in Low Carbon Energy use

Individuals should be HNC / HND or Degree qualified, have extensive HVAC Design skills and be able to work with minimal supervision. Previous experience with IES and Sustainability or LCC / LCEA qualifications would be advantageous.
