Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for a materials engineer to be based on a live construction site on a major London Airport. You will be working for a UK based main contractor that operates internationally. The project involves the construction of Concrete Aprons and Taxiways with associated services.
As Materials Engineer you will be responsible for the supervision of sub contractors, suppliers and off site testing sites. You will also be required to liaise with the client JV partners, Local Authorities, Planning teams, clients and consultants so excellent communication skills both written and verbal are essential for this role. You will be responsible for overseeing all laboratory based testing, safety, and ensuring all testing is carried out in accordance with site requirements and complying with the NAMAS quality system.
Required Experience and training;
•Minimum of HND or equivalent.
•Previous experience with;
oSite Investigation
oQuarrying and associated processing
oMaterials Laboratory Testing.
•A valid CSCS card
