The Company

A rare and challenging role exists for an experienced Route Manager within a leading infrastructure services provider working in the highways & rail sector. The organisation deals predominantly within asset management maintenance, design, and consultancy services. Their portfolio of services includes design and construction, planning of transportation, off track maintenance, highway maintenance, street lighting and seasonal maintenance.

The role

You will be a key figure within the contract team responsible for the management of a major trunk road in Derbyshire. You will repot in to the Network Manager and hold full responsibility for the network management which will include ongoing maintenance. In addition you will be required to;
Manage all assets on the network
Produce and manage the programme for structures and highway inspections
Act as the QA rep for the contract
Develop the plan for the operational management of Winter Maintenance and Emergency
Response
Forge strong and sustainable relationships with both the Highways Agency and Stakeholders
Manage all staff within the Inspection and Monitoring teams

Candidate requirements

Qualified Engineer
Experience of both Highway maintenance and Highway Engineering
Full Driving License
