A fixed term position has recently become available in Staffordshire working for a private organisation on a mobile unit at a static NHS site.

My client are a busy MRI Scanning Unit providing a caring imaging service for the local Trusts, PCTs, and private referring clinicians. Their case mix includes neuro, orthopedic, abdominal and oncology scans. Currently they have a 1T Siemens Impact, this is to be replaced by a 1.5T 18 Channel Siemens Avanto in Summer 2009 during which time radiographers will be expected to work at the local NHS Hospital on a mobile unit. The Unit operates a shift system within an extended working day. Hours are negotiable but will ideally include some weekend cover to suit the demand on the service. Your input will be welcome into both the existing service and the shaping of the service post upgrade. The successful candidate must have previous MRI experience, a flexible and patient-focused attitude and be able to work flexibly within a small team. More specifically we are looking for someone who can build an excellent rapport with patients and customers.
