Job Description

This major rail organisation is actively looking for a Principal Project Planner for one its major project for 2012. One of the key stages is increase capacity through a core area of London to 16 trains per hour.

You will facilitate this electrification, power and signalling systems are to be upgraded, stations and track work extended and altered, and life support and means of espace installed to the core area tunnels.

In some locations more extensive works will also be carried out to improve train operability. Power supplies to Overhead Line Equipment (OHLE) are also to be enhanced north of London on the Midland and East Coast Main Lines.
This role will cover signalling and telecoms programmes, and the integrated programmes for commissioning.

Also, with the imminent amalgamation of the tunnels project and the increase workload in the signalling project, a full time planner is consistently required for the achievement of the project.

The role will support the project teams in the delivery of these works.

Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate the skills and experience listed below and in addition have; good communication skills, enthusiasm, a desire to be challenged and seek further personal development, flexibility, and be able to demonstrate innovative thinking and the experience and confidence to carry out constructive challenge. You must be Proficient in the use of Primavera P3e and Project Management Software. Have knowledge of telecoms and Signalling projects within the rail sector.
