Job Description

My client is a multi million pound National Main Contractor covering a broad range of sectors. One area they are very successful within is social housing and regeneration building. As a result they are currently looking to recruit 2 Freelance Project Quantity Surveyors for 2 projects in East London.

The first project is a £5 million D&B Decent Homes scheme due to last 1 year.

The second is a £6 million D&B New Build Affordable Housing project due to last 14 months.

Both projects are secured and scheduled to start in September.

You will be given responsibility for your own contracts and expected to run them with minimum supervision

In order to be considered for this role you must have:

Solid social housing quantity surveying experience with a reputable main contractor

Profitability reporting, preparation of works valuations, pricing of variations, procurement of subcontractors / suppliers experience

Experience in Social Housing refurbishment & working in partnership with Local Authority Clients

D&B Contract Experience

Experience in negotiating sub contract letting, placing of orders, final account settlement and settlement of contractual claims

Ability to work closely with client teams, keeping the client closely informed throughout project durations
