Our client is a world leader in the civil engineering industry. Their reputation has been built on the successful delivery of high value capital civil projects across the UK and the rest of the world.

We now require a Highways Planning Engineer with experience using Primavera P3 to work on a major highways framework involving widening, construction, and reconstruction, many structures including over bridges and under bridges, widening solutions, surfacing, communications and services.

Role and responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the Planning and programming of all civil engineering works at Tender and Construction stage.
Monitoring progress during construction and re-programming if required.
Preparation of submission documents.
Preparation of compensation event programmes and narrative.
Presentation/dissemination of planning/programming philosophy

Tender Stage:

- Prepare well-engineered programmes, which add to the tender chances of success.
- Assess tender temporary works requirements and value engineering solutions.
- Assess tender major quantities and assess errors/discrepancies.
- Present programme philosophy and tender strategy advantages to client at interview/presentation

Contract Stage:

- Prepare and or develop from tender programme, well-engineered contract programmes, which contribute to successful project outcome in terms of time and cost.
- Prepare monitoring systems and monitor contract progress.
- Prepare monthly progress reports for submission with monthly report and present at monthly progress meetings with Client.

This role requires Planning Engineers who have a Heavy Civils background and who have worked on major motorway construction projects.
