Job Description
Key Responsibilities and Duties
To assist the Centre Manager in being responsible for the family assessment service and the supervised contact service and staff employed in those services, including qualified and unqualified workers from a range of disciplines, administrative and manual staff as directed, towards the achievement of the Department’s stated aims and objectives and to agreed quality levels within the allocated budget.
To assist the Manager of the Centre in ensuring that the running of the Centre complies with both Council and statutory requirements. To provide accurate information and access to records of staff and residents. To ensure that the well-being and safety of service users is maintained and to alert the external line manager to situations of high risk.
In conjunction with the Centre Manager to oversee and monitor the receiving, allocation, reviewing and closing of cases. This will include assessing the level of service to be offered, in each case prioritising and allocating incoming work to the team members in accordance with Departmental and legal instructions and guidelines and with due regard to Departmental priorities and ensuring that highest priority work is allocated. To manage the waiting list of work which falls to the team.
To provide supervision for members of staff for whom s/he is responsible including staff from both the supervised contact service and the family assessment service in accordance with Departmental procedures and guidelines to ensure that the work undertaken complies with Departmental and legislative standards and accords with relevant procedures and practice guidelines.
Candidates are required to hold a clear enhanced CRB, references covering the last 5 years and a full CV covering and explaining any gaps in your employment history and also having the reasons for leaving previous posts.
Candidates need to be registered with the General Social Care Council.
