A unique opportunity exists for experienced Works Managers to work on a major highways project being undertaken in the North West of England. The project will deliver highways service across the regions motorways and main trunk roads.

The main remit of your role will be to:
•Program, works, manage staff and supply chain and allocate resources for plant and material
•To ensure response to emergency situations that occur on the network
•Responsibility for upkeep and maintenance of depots, including security.
•Ensuring all necessary daily/weekly operational records are produced and are accurate.
•Identification of schemes.
•Ensure risk assessments and method statements are maintained to current work practices/legislation and are effectively communicated.
•Perform the watchmen role.
•Liaise and work closely with the HA regarding Health and Safety issues on the network.
•Perform the duty officer role during the winter maintenance period.

Candidate requirements:
•Full Driving licence.
•Appropriate CSCS accreditation for level of post (desirable).
•Highway maintenance experience.
•Supervision experience.
•Winter maintenance experience (desirable).
