Job Description

Candidates are required to hold a clear enhanced CRB, references covering the last 5 years and a full CV covering and explaining any gaps in your employment history and also having the reasons for leaving previous posts.

• Experience of managing a team
• ASW qualification may be required.
• Experience in dealing with more complex cases whilst supporting staff and colleagues
• DIPSW qualification or equivalent is essential
• Minimum 1 year UK post graduate experience plus supervisory/senior social work experience
• Must be registered with the GSCC
• Enhanced CRB check required
• Valid driving licence
• Social work experience in local government, voluntary or independent sector
• Knowledge of relevant statutory child care social work legislation
• Direct experience of working with relevant client groups, especially those from different racial & cultural backgrounds
• Ability to initiate, draft and produce reports
• Ability to deal with/record casework, communicate effectively with client groups & professionals in order to assess client needs
• Ability to attend & organize case conferences & reviews for the purpose of assessing & monitoring the development of service users
• Ability to develop person-centered care plans
• Ability to use a variety of IT packages
• Ability to deal with conflict and complaints
• Ability to participate within a duty team framework
• Knowledge of the issues relating to the well-being of service users covering a wide range of clients

Candidates need to be registered with the General Social Care Council.
