This leading Consultancy Company is actively looking for a Quantity Surveyor for it's major contract in Essex.

For this role you will assist and deputise for the Principal Quantity Surveyor as and when required. Assist clients in formulating the extent of briefs for projects.
Prepare cost plans, budget forecasts and estimates and all related forms and costings for budgets in order to give financial advice to clients.
Prepare tenders and assemble contract documents to enable competitive prices to be obtained. Measure and value works and provide budgetary control.

Prepare and agree interim valuations and final accounts with contractors in order to approve payments and finalise the financial aspects of a project. Analyse expenditure and prepare cost analysis in order to advise the client. Prepare property insurance valuations and asset valuations.

Provide financial monitoring of building related projects in order to give early warning of variations and to provide information for performance indicators.
Monitor performance and progress on building related projects in order to improve the outcome and to provide information for performance indicators.

You should be degree qualified in a construction related discipline and have some form of Local Authority experience. Your background should be from either a Private Practice/Consultancy or Local Authority. This is a long term position with a stable career path available for the successful person.
