About the Role
Improving the Network, you will play your part in carrying out planned maintenance work. It will see you involved in a wide range of projects from conception to completion. As well as preparing specifications, drawings and contract documents, you will resolve technical issues and help with the management of administrative tasks.


• Assisting Senior Engineer in delivery of schemes
• Effective project management of own schemes
• Producing documents and drawings with all relevant back ground information for construction
• Prepare reports on identified problems and recommend suitable solutions
• Good report writing skills
• Carry out specific items of research as directed by Senior / Principal Engineer
• Have a good understanding of CDM 2007, Health and Safety and Environmental management
• Undertake site visits for design and construction purposes
• Actively contributing to team and scheme progress meetings
• Ensuring effective monitoring of own site works
• Monitor financial aspects of own schemes and that of junior staff
• Comply with company instructions, procedures and requirements.


About You
Along with at least an HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, you will have experience of highway design, including knowledge of relevant standards (MCHW, DMRB and TSRGD). In addition, you will be a good team player with strong technical skills and the ability to coordinate projects. A degree within a relevant subject would also be desirable.
