Civil Site Engineer - Highways
Highways Recon and Civils – Norfolk
The Civil Site Engineer will report to the Site Agent and will be involved in the day to day supervision of construction activities on site. This role requires someone who will be confident enough to deal with issues straight away and act in a timely manor. The site engineer will be reviewing drawings and specifications and supervising the workforce. The Site engineer should be aware of Health and Safety issues and may be required to communicate Method Statements and Risk Assessments to the workforce.
Role Description
The Civil Site Engineer will be responsible for day to day site activities, including;
• Setout and dip levels for road construction
• Supervision of Sub-contractors for surfacing, white lining, signage and safety fence.
• Issuing permits
• QA and safety records
Required Experience
• HNC or HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
• Relevant experience in highways construction / re-construction
• Other heavy civil engineering background would be considered
• Valid CSCS card
