Job Description

Qualified Social Worker required to work for a reputable private organisation based in Central London. Our client is looking for a Qualified Social Worker to work in their Family Centre. You will make detailed assessment of families who have been referred to the centre. This work may take place at the family home and/or at the centre; and will include assessments of parenting skills, family functioning and parent/child relationships; It will look at the background and relationships of the parent(s) and also areas of concern which may be a contributing factor to problems within the family; and which are, or could place the child(ren) at risk e.g. substance misuse, domestic violence etc. The worker may also make recommendations about further work which should be undertaken in order to improve parenting skills or about the most appropriate placements for children.

This Qualified Social Worker position is to start ASAP and is for 6 months initially. You must be eligible to work in the UK, hold a Social Work Qualification, GSCC registered with a current CRB, driver preferred.
