Senior Civil Engineer (with Network Rail Background)

Job Description
We have an immediate need for a high quality senior civil engineer to assist us in our growing Network Rail related workload.
You will work for a medium sized engineering consultancy that punches above its weight in the rail sector, through offering intelligent design solutions and by executing projects effectively. Their recent involvement in projects such as the West Coast Route Modernisation has led to an increased profile for the rail division.
Experience Required
-1st or upper 2nd B Eng / M Eng (Hons) degree expected
-Chartered or near Chartered Civil / Structural Engineer
-Network Rail experience essential
-Platform design and refurbishment experience necessary
-Drainage design knowledge advantageous
-Trackside infrastructure / foundation design experience advantageous
-Must have a good appreciation of rail infrastructure and third party interface issues.
-Experience of Railway Assurance procedures and NR Standards strongly advantageous
-Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations
-Ability to lead projects, produce programmes, manage workloads and direct graduate engineers
-Ability to assist with fee proposals, monitor project progress and spend
-Ability to liaise with clients directly and attend design progress meetings
-Ability to work independently and see tasks through to completion with minimal input
-Ability to function within a team environment
