Our London based client is one of the UK's largest and most diverse multidisciplinary consultancies in the design, management and infrastructure sectors. They are currently seeking the services of a Programme Director for a 4 month contract position that is subject to extension. The successful applicant will lead the Programme Management Office directing the delivery of major capital investment programmes in the Water Utilities Sector.
The suitable candidate will have the following accountability's:
• Provide leadership of the programme management across a 5 year ₤500m Water Utility Programme
• Experience with large scale project management
• Demonstrated abilities in design management, project controls, cost management, quality management, estimating, risk and opportunity management, planning and procurement & supply chain management
• Ensure projects are delivered on time with appropriate levels of quality
• Risk management to ensure project’s outcome and manage these risks accordingly
• Operational and capital works understanding of water utilities
• Heavily involved with shaping and promoting the projects programme
A successful applicant with meet all the following criteria:
• Degree qualified in relevant discipline
• High-level knowledge and experience in project controls, planning, quality management, estimating, risk and opportunity management, cost management
• Strong knowledge and credible experience in Project Management / Programme Management ideally at a Director level
• Exposure and experience in the infrastructure sector ideally water utilities
• Be able to build and maintain excellent working relationships with all stakeholders
• Good understanding of various funding mechanisms available for regeneration projects
• Leadership experience in combination with knowledge of planning techniques
• Budget and resource allocation
