Job Description

A central London Borough urgently needs an experienced Town Planner for a forward planning role.

Duties include;
The effective management of a development control team ensuring the effective coordination and delivery of the Liveability Fund Grant programme including meeting all the grant conditions

Producing project plans and proposals, in consultation with all the
stakeholders, for effective management and application of the grant, and implementation of its key elements

Working with mainstream service delivery agencies to Identifying the service improvements required including negotiating and securing `bending' mainstream services delivery across a whole range of services and agencies

Establishing communication mechanisms for effective involvement, engagement and informing of all the stakeholders and the local community.

Identifying and establishing effective mechanisms to strengthen local ownership and local civic responsibility as a key element of sustaining improvements

Acting as the Council's expert spokesperson on matters relating to the fund, including appropriate publicity.

provision of a responsive, cost effective and quality assured Policy and Information service through the effective management of the team
