A unitary authority based in a picturesque borough in North London is looking for a Building Surveyor to work as part of their friendly and experienced team.

The role is for an experienced Building Surveyor to work on a wide range of projects with the drive to see projects through from inception to completion. This multi-disciplined role includes 'right to buy' surveys, special needs adaptions, DDA surveys, window replacement schemes, lease plans and fire jobs at a scheduled rate.

As the role requires the ability to see projects through to completion it will involve writing specifications, tenders and contract administration. It is unusual to find such a wide range of work in a local authority environment which makes this an interesting and varied role for the right applicant. This is also an opportunity for a long term contract within an authority that invests in people and allow you to be flexible with your own working hours.

Applicants will need to have at least 2 years experience and educated HNC level or above. You will need to have an understanding of AutoCAD along with a full UK driving license and own transport. Experience of working within a local authority environment or understanding of some of the project mentioned is highly desirable. You will also need to be friendly and be able to work as part of the team with the iniative to work with minimal supervision.
