Job Description

A contract post has become available for a Principal with a Diploma in Social Work, to lead the Senior Management Team within an independent special school.

All of the students have moderate to severe learning disabilities and over 75% are further challenged with Autism. You will be required to have at least 5 years experience of management at a senior level in social work.

The primary duty of the Principal is to ensure the highest possible standards of provision for the children within the school. This is a complex and demanding task requiring a high level of professional and managerial skill to develop and assist the appropriate networks of relationships and services within the school, with parents, visiting professionals, the public and the media.

The role is more strategic as opposed to directly operational.
