Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a qualified Commercial Technician/Mechanic in Hertfordshire.

You must be fully qualified (i.e. City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent) and have at least 2 -3 years experience and a HGV driving licence.

Duties:

Responsible for carrying out routine maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicle including trailers to the Ministry of Transport standard
Comply with laws and local regulations intended to prevent injury and accidents within the workshop
Attend roadside breakdowns as and when required
Report all incidents(broken tools etc) to the workshop foreman
To ensure all work is carried out to the highest standards of quality.
Undertaking various diagnostic and fault finding exercises to determine the nature of problems on vehicles and reporting findings to the customers.
Stripping, replacing and repairing components on vehicles including clutches, brakes, gearboxes and engines.
Undertaking all exercises to determine and rectify intermittent problems on vehicles.
