A Local Authority in North West London seeks a Principal Planner, with at least 2 years Planning experience, to come on board for a year long project. The main scope of the role is to provide a professional and high quality service in respect to planning obligations and in particular to lead on project management of s106 agreements. The role includes negotiations (with private Clients too) regarding prospective agreements, financial monitoring and maintaining a database of all s106 and s278 agreements. You will also be preparing up to date policy guidance, leading the corporate s106 group and ensuring that planning agreements are implemented. The position also involves attending meetings with Council bodies, representing the Council at inquiries and monitor best value procedures. It is essential that you have the relevant experience before you apply for this position, it is also beneficial that you have some Supervisory experience, as you will be responsible for at least 2 staff.
