Job Description

This is a fantastic position for any Planner with some UK Conservation experience to work in a challenging environment in a London Borough. The role involves providing detailed advice on Historic Building and Conservation aspects of applications for listed building consent and conservation area consent. You will be attending site visits, preparing formal comments and observations for Committee and Appeal statements. The post will give you experience in representing the Council at Committee meetings, liaison with the public, public inquiries and hearings. The other group participations include English Heritage, the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and the ODPM. You will be assisting with Planning and listed building Enforcement action, and also with the development of Conservation, design policies and monitoring procedures. If you have the desired experience, this role will give you the opportunity to forward your career and open new avenues.
