A Local Authority in West London seeks a Team Leader for the Neighbourhood Team, managing 8 Planners, for an ongoing contract. You will need to have a Planning degree, 5 years experience in Development Control and supervisory/coaching experience is essential. The role within the Neighbourhood team will be dealing with householder applications, single attached dwellings, small-scale commercial and lawful development certificates. Your role will be to manage a team of Planners, ensuring effective prioritisation and delegation of tasks to meet statutory and Council targets. You will be responsible for the more complex planning applications and Appeals, representing the Council at Public enquiries and Informal hearings. Another part of the role will be to provide detailed advice to the public, leading consultations, and communication with Councillors and local organisations.
