Job Description

A Local Authority in Ealing requires an Appeals officer to work within the Development Control department, for an ongoing period. Initially you will be responsible for undertaking a review and analysis of Appeal decisions to identify key policy and procedural issues, make recommendations on changes required and project manage an action plan to implement agreed changes. Alongside this, you will also be processing a wide range of Planning applications, so a full knowledge of the UK Planning regulations is essential. You will need to be competent in preparing statements for Appeals, and be able to attend Public enquiries, providing evidence on behalf of the Council. Your duties will also include giving pre-application advice to Councillors, applicants, developers and agents, so good customer service skills are a must.
