Based in the north of London, this Local Authority is currently dealing with a massive increase in planning applications for works on residential properties. To cope with demand the building control unit is expanding the team.

The successful applicant will be required to check plans / planning applications as they come through to the team to make sure they comply to current UK building regulations.

Our client is seeking a confident building control officer with at least 2 years experience in a similar role. Applicants must have experience with both site inspection and plan checking.

Building control is an area of the public sector that is constantly expanding and individuals who can boast experience in a variety of roles in the public sector on plan checking and site inspection are commanding ever increasing rates of pay.

This role will give you the opportunity to gain essential new experience and to work comfortably on a secure long term contract on a generous hourly rate.
