Job Description

The day-to-day duties of the contractor will be the office based design and project management of assigned highway improvement schemes.

Main duties will include site monitoring as required, measurement checking and contractor invoice approvals. CAD skills or computer literacy within Highway package field desirable. Knowledge and previous use of British Highway design and construction guides would also be useful although not necessarily a necessity.

Candidates will have an academic attainment of recognised Civil Engineering qualification, local government Engineering experience and awareness of relevant legislation. The ability to plan, design and supervise assigned work on own initiative is a must. Candidates with their own transport to visit sites desirable.
