Job Description

In order to support the new sewer flooding process Operations Waste are recruiting a number of Network Engineers.

Reporting to the Network Team Coordinator, they will be part of the local Area Network Team providing field based engineering support in carrying out investigations into the causes of sewer flooding and other operational failures.

They will ensure excellent customer service by providing guidance on field services activities and performance managing our service providers while undertaking these sewer investigations and repairs on our waste network.

Key responsibilities and features of this job:
1. Respond, investigate and recommend cost effective solutions to customer and network issues.

2. Ensure Service Provider compliance with H&S, financial and specification standards, including NRSWA, performance and H&S audits.

3. Collect, interpret, analyse and report on technical and related business data. Production of estimates and monitoring of progress against financial and other performance targets including incident avoidance and zero prosecutions.

4. Raise and dispatch work to office using corporate systems. Complete forms/data on system to ensure customer/regulatory feedback can be provided (i.e. flooding forms, etc).

5. Respond to customer requests for advice and technical information on the delivery of services and investigate causes of customer complaints, by site appointments, in accordance with Company policy and procedures.

6. Responsible for the site investigation of service provider and network issues, including blockages, flooding (DG7 reports), pollution, etc. Enter results onto hammerhead and other corporate information systems.

7. Carry out inspection of TWU plant, identify works required and feed back to office.

8. Build and develop relationships with other internal departments and key stakeholders.

9. Work with team to develop operational efficiency initiatives to facilitate optimum fieldwork volumes in a risk managed fashion.

The ideal candidates will have 2yrs+ experience in minor civil works, and an understanding of Drainage Law.
